Rosedale Baptist School

We Are Rosedale

Rosedale Baptist School is a ministry of Rosedale Baptist Church in Baltimore County, Maryland. RBS is a private Christian school whose purpose is to enter into a partnership with parents who are committed to a total education process that is centered on God and His Word, and results in the academic development of the mind and spiritual development of the heart and character. We embrace the privilege and responsibility that God and parents impart to us in the education of each of our students.

NOT Common Core

RBS uses traditional teaching through the A Beka curriculum in the kindergarten classrooms and the elementary grades because we believe it is the best curriculum used in the primary classroom today.  We use a mixture of A Beka and Bob Jones University Press materials for high school classrooms to develop not only a foundation of knowledge, but also the ability to think analytically and critically.

A Beka’s phonics-based approach to reading has stood the test of time and has proven to be the best possible foundation for a lifetime of learning.  Kindergarten students enrolled in A Beka programs often read up to a second grade level upon kindergarten graduation.
